The rules for this website.
Short, and scoped to the website. If you have hired us for a Baseline, the agreement you signed governs that work and these terms do not displace it.
01 — What these terms cover
These terms are an agreement between you and Patriot 7Six LLC, a Texas limited liability company doing business as TenantSquared. They govern your use of tenantsquared.com, the free Checkup, and anything else we publish on this site. Using the site means you accept them. If you do not, stop using the site.
02 — What they do not cover
A paid Baseline assessment is governed by a separate written agreement signed by both parties, covering scope, fees, access, confidentiality, and liability for that work. No page on this site, and nothing in these terms, forms that agreement or changes it. Submitting the request form is an enquiry, not an order, and it obligates neither of us. Where these terms and a signed engagement agreement disagree about the assessment, the signed agreement wins.
Our handling of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms.
03 — Our content and the Checkup
The text, design, icon set, report formats, control mappings, and the Checkup are owned by Patriot 7Six LLC or used under licence. Some material incorporates third-party components under their own open source licences, and those notices travel with any copy we distribute.
You may use the Checkup and the material on this site inside your own organisation, including with your auditors, insurers, and prime contractors, without asking us. You may not resell it, publish it as your own, offer it as part of a competing service, or strip our attribution from it. The TenantSquared and Patriot 7Six names and marks stay ours.
04 — Acceptable use
Do not attack this site, test its security without our written permission, scrape it at a rate that degrades it for anyone else, submit somebody else’s personal data as though it were your own, or use it to send us anything unlawful. Do not put Controlled Unclassified Information, contract numbers, CAGE codes, or classified material into any form on this site. Those fields are not built to receive it and we do not want it.
We may suspend access for anyone doing those things. If you find a security problem here, we would rather hear about it than not: write to privacy@patriot7six.com and give us reasonable time to fix it before publishing.
05 — No verdict, no advice
TenantSquared renders no compliance verdicts. Our findings map to NIST SP 800-171 control families so you can answer questions in the vocabulary a prime uses. Nothing on this site, in the Checkup, or in a Baseline report states or implies that you are compliant with NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, DFARS 252.204-7012, or any other requirement, and none of it may be represented to a customer or a regulator as though it did.
Nothing here is legal advice, and we are not your lawyers. Decisions about your contractual and regulatory obligations are yours to make, with counsel where that is warranted.
06 — Warranties
The site and the Checkup are provided as they are, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error free, or that the Checkup covers every setting that matters in your environment. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to the extent the law allows.
07 — Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Patriot 7Six LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of your use of this site, even if we were told such damages were possible. Our total liability arising out of this site and the Checkup will not exceed one hundred United States dollars.
This section limits liability for the free website and the free Checkup only. Liability for a paid Baseline is set by the signed engagement agreement for that work, and this cap does not apply to it.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
08 — Your indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because of how you used this site, because you submitted data you had no right to submit, or because you represented our material as something it is not, you will defend us and cover the resulting costs and damages.
09 — Termination
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of this site at any time, and we may block access for anyone breaking section 04. You can stop using the site whenever you like. The sections that should outlive that access — our ownership of the material, the disclaimers, the liability cap, your indemnity, and governing law — stay in force afterwards.
10 — Links and third parties
This site links to Microsoft documentation, NIST publications, and other outside material. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for them or for anything you do there.
11 — Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising from them will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and both of us consent to that venue.
Before filing anything, write to privacy@patriot7six.com describing the problem and what you want, and give us 30 days to resolve it. Most disagreements end there, and neither of us needs the alternative. If a provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
12 — Changes and contact
We may change these terms; the effective date at the top will move when we do, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept the new version. Questions go to privacy@patriot7six.com.
